Langkawi
After another awesome Shangri-La breakfast and a fight with a lady in Ferragamo we headed off to KLIA and jumped on board our flight to Langkawi, I read all the way (ps Mum the new Devil book is beyond awesome crap!).
Our hotel is just incredible, our room is meters from the sand with a cute little courtyard out front, I never want to leave!
After a few hours of reading and a swim (Doug read 2 chapters then contemplated life for an hour and finally gave up and watched sport on TV) we went inside and got ready for our candle-lit dinner on the beach.
In addition to being romantic the food was incredible. The prawns kataifi were on a salsa of avocado and mango and definitely a stand out dish.
We spent hours there just soaking in the vista and chatting away before retreating to our room.
Woke up this morning and had an amazing breakfast overlooking the ocean, not too sure what today will bring maybe kayaking to a nearby island or going and exploring the town.

KL.
After waking up and consuming the most amazing breakfast ever (I kid you not, 19 types of pastries and every type of cuisine imaginable) we headed to the butterfly park.
I expected it to be a small enclosure, like at the zoo, and for Doug to hate it but it was a massive enclosed rainforest and Mr. Hutchinson loved it! All different types of butterflies and animals and they were so tame! Even had a couple land on me.
We then headed to the Pavilion shopping centre where I only came away with one purchase (yellow polo cap for $AU25!!). Then we headed back to the hotel to get ready for dinner.
Dinner was at Prime an amazing restaurant in Le Meridian KL, I'd definitely recommend to a friend! I had truffle ravioli and Douggie had a steak all together with drinks and dessert it came to like $AU110! At a 5 star restaurant! Crazy! Afterwards we headed to the Petronas Towers because Mr. Engineer wanted to see their glory at night I've got to admit they were pretty cool.
That's all for today, bedtime then Langkawi tomorrow!

First 24 hours.
Wow, what a hectic day. We arrived I'm Singapore at about 4pm, after discovering Mr. Size 15 feet forgot to pack shoes, and headed straight to the hotel - only to find we'd been upgraded! Win!!
We just relaxed over a few cocktails and had an early night in our amazing room on Sentosa Island.
The next day we got up early and made an impressive effort on breakfast (although nothing close to your overseas rituals Tommy!) then headed to Universal Studios where we went on rides and saw attractions for hours.
Finally, after a costume change, we headed back to Changi Airport and went on the shortest flight ever (40 mins, it's literally up and then straight back down!). We headed to the Shangri-La and tucked into some amazing (and cheap!) room service before nodding off to sleep in preparation for a big day of sight seeing tomorrow!
Crazy Day!!

time.
It just keeps going doesn't it.
It has been almost a year since my last blog post, vowing to continue to write. And yet I still couldn't commit to that! The only thing it seems I can commit to for a substantial amount of time is to keep returning to this blog. I've had it now for 5 years. A fair amount of time if you ask me. Even though we're in a love hate relationship I still think that I will keep coming back.
I've been on a few small journey's since my last post and am about to head off on another. Whether it will be documented, I don't know.
I have so many girlfriends starting up their blogs to tell the tales of their European travels and I hope that they find the peace (and torment) that I found when posting.
